Greetings!

I'm thrilled and honored to have been asked to teach Culinary Fundamentals (Culla 115) at Drexel. The story about how I got here is too much to share in a blog post. But the "skinny" is that 12 years ago, I left what had been the most rewarding jobs I could never have imagined I'd have to parent my kids full time. And  for most of the dozen years since leaving the CIA, I've been wishing that (despite being tremendously happy to have so much quality time with my two fabulous kids and  as they grew up and  didn't need me around all the time a pretty exciting professional career) I could someday return to the classroom to teach.

I'll write up a more complete autobiographical  sketch for an "About" page. For now, please let it suffice for me to say that I'm excited to be at Drexel and am very much looking forward to meeting you on Monday, April 1st at 2:00PM.

The reason for this blog
As an adjunct faculty member charged with teaching one class per week, my ability to exchange or discuss  class related information would be mostly limited to the 4.5 hours time that we spend in class together. So I cooked up this blog to give me the opportunity to provide you with information about upcoming classes and tests, to reiterate content covered in class and give me the option of providing additional information that could not be  included during normal class time.

Of course, you will not be held responsible for any information here that was not covered in class or in assigned readings.

So look to this blog for postings about

  • Upcoming classes
  • Tests
  • Additional Information about course content
  • A place to ask questions and get answers
